Contains Lactulose 3.335 g per 5 ml: a synthetic disaccharide that draws water into the bowel to soften stool and promote movement
Flavored with lemon, sugar‑free, and suitable for infants to adults
Uses
Treats constipation (especially chronic/habitual cases)
Also part of management in hepatic encephalopathy, due to its effect on lowering blood ammonia
Dosage Guide
Adults/Elderly: Typically 15 ml twice daily (up to 45 ml/day)
Children 5–10 yrs: 10 ml twice daily; <5 yrs: 5 ml twice daily; Infants: 2.5 ml twice daily
Effects may begin within 24–48 hours; for hepatic encephalopathy, dosing may differ .
Shake well; can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day

Common: Gas, bloating, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, nausea
Rare: Electrolyte imbalance with prolonged use.
Consult doctor if you have galactosemia, IBS, bowel obstruction, lactose intolerance, or are pregnant/breastfeeding
Safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding under medical advice .
Alcohol caution advised; interactions with warfarin/ acenocoumarol —monitor for bleeding
